I may be biased but I went here for 3 years – possibly the best 3 years ever. I loved every minute of being in UCC. Lectures were interesting, there was an endless array of socialising options and amenities. I hope to return as an 80 year old mature student.
Spent three great years here! Can't bate Cork!

Currently attending UCC, studying a B Sc in Government. Every lecture I’ve attended so far has been intriguing, the lecturers are all extremely intellectual and fascinating people and in general, student life has been amazing.
The on-campus facilities are limitless; for example, students avail of food at far lower prices than they would at restaurants five minutes away. The library in particular is a wealth of information and knowledge at everybody’s disposal. It’s a credit to Cork City!

I spent seven years here as a student, and then returned many years later to join the staff. UCC benefits from being largely campus-based, although some departments have moved off-site as the university has expanded. The grounds are beautiful - sometimes it looks as though the whole place is a forest! The new buildings - Aras na Mac Leinn, the O’Rahilly Building - are very much in keeping with the surroundings, and the Glucksman is a revelation! Food-wise there are plenty of places to eat, although there isn’t a very wide range of food on offer. Luckily, there are enough interesting cafes and restaurants in walking distance for that not to be a problem!

I spent 7 years in UCC - a long time. A great friendly university, the facilities just get better and better. The new extension to the Boole library is very welcome, turning the place into an even more popular social hub than ever. Studying of course goes on too, but everyone’s here for a wander between the paragraphs.
