One of my favourite spots for a night out. There’s usually a nice crowd in the Dragon - it’s less of a meat market than the George can be.
They’ve recently started hosting 'Spice’ on Friday nights, which is well worth a look. €7 in, the night I was there, and three rooms with different styles of music to suit different tastes. Along with dancers on the bar!
Apart from nights though, I find it a really nice place to visit in the early evening. It’s well laid out and the tables, which are set into alcoves along the wall, offer both a hint of luxury and privacy.
One of the better spots for a night out on Dublin’s 'scene’.
great bar, smoking area is too cold though!

Dublin’s second biggest gay bar, can be very quiet during the midweek, however is very busy on friday and saturday nights with a lively and fun dancefloor. The music on these nights tends to be dance remixes with a DJ. The dragon has recently started charging an entrance fee at night time of 10 euro. You recieve a coupon also of making the next visit 5 euro instead. Oddly this actually seems to help the club as apart from chargin to get in, nothing has changed but it has became busier! recommendations are to order a cookie monster - alcohol ice cream cocktail that is superb value and tastes great!

Yet another gay bar in Dublin. Is known to have a great choice of cocktails. No entrance fee, very lively on the weekends (can be really dead during the week!).
