Great review, I have always wondered what the food was like in there as I pass there on the bus every morning. I will definately try it sometime, thanks :)

I have been to the Queen of Tarts twice and both times the cakes and pastries were to die for. Beautiful food. old fashioned china cups etc and in such a relaxed atmosphere. I shall visit every time I come to Dublin. Brill !!!!

Omg, cakes here = yum. Aptly named. Everything is fresh and only the best. I like how small it is because I think it adds to the whole character of the place. It's charming and the people who work there are really friendly. You have to give them credit too for working in a cramped and busy environment and for not allowing the feel of the place to be stressful! It's my place of choice for a quick lunch, cake + coffee in the city.

Have only been twice but both times were a treat - the cakes alone were mouth-wateringly good, and the surroundings quaint shabby-chicness just fit so well. Was a bit too packed, but that's to be expected of such a popular place...

I was only in Dublin for an hour so I decided to check qype to see where would be the best place to to get a cup of tea and a slice of cake… Queen of Tarts came up tops and this place certainly deserves every 5 star it gets.
Fantastic service, amazing cakes and a wonderful cup of tea!

Can’t go past The Tart!
Great for a bit of old fashioned service and banter, and cakes like your grandma’s grandma used to make. That good!

In an age of the mass proliferation of starbucks it’s lovely to see a place like this thriving. On weekends, its virtually impossible to get a seat here so try drop by at off peak times. Perfect for tea and cakes! I love love love it here on a cold winters day!

Queen of Tart is “the” place in Dublin to enjoy beautifull pastries and tea. Their cupcakes are to die for and there are something for everyone! Book a table if you are more than 4.

It was a miracle I got a table here as by the time I dropped by it was mid-morning. Luckily it was only me so I got a table in a corner. I then ordered and devoured the best breakfast for a hangover I’d had for about three and a half years. Eggs, bacon, toast, beans and mushrooms. It was delicious!

Queen of Tarts offers a wide variety of scrumptious foods for breakfast or lunch. It’s ideally located, if the shop is full then head to the Chester Beatty library garden close by for a seat. It’s cheap and friendly, a great bakery-cafe!

I agree I love the Queen of Tarts, they have a bigger restaurant down the road now in Cow’s Lane, Temple Bar which is beautiful and keeps the style and spirit of the original little sister. The menu is the same as the first cafe but you can now get a seat with no trouble ! Lovely spot on Saturday when the cafe is really buzzing with trendy Temple Bar Saturday market, go during the week if you don’t like crowds!

I can’t rate this place highly enough I come here when I get the chance, the food is excellent and the mismatching teapots and teacups are adorable. It has a really homely cosy atmosphere in the heart of the city. My only complaint would be the size of the tables and the dining room which are all a bit cramped. As the tables are tiny, once I accidently spilt my hot chocolate all over the table splashing mine and the other tart on the table. The staff were excellent they came over straight away cleared it all up and replaced both tarts and the hot chocolates free of charge. This is my favourite spot in town for a dessert with friends and family. I love the scones, tarts and pastries here. Worth a pop in!

The Queen of Tarts is best known pastry cafe.
The Queen of Tarts serves freshly made pastries. Diners can sample all sorts of savoury delights including chicken, tomato and courgette, spinach, ricotta and mushroom and much more.
They serve the best of fresh and homebaked sweet and savoury foods, my favaurites are the carrot cake, apple and blackberry crumble and a classic for all Victorian Sponge cake.
They serve breakfast and lunch seven days a week.

Queen of Tarts is a small cafe, the cafe itself is quite small, only eight or so tables, but if it’s full when you get there it’s well worth waiting. The counter is absolutely packed with one of the most amazing array of cakes and pastries that you’ll see. They also do snacks and light meals, including what sounds like a great veggie breakfast. I went there and had soup and cakes both times. The desserts are to die for, expecially the apple crumble. Please go there if you are down dublin, you won’t be disappointed.

As soon as you see the array of mouth watering cakes on display you will know you came to the right place. It is a very small premises (although they are moving to a larger one shortly) so waiting for a table is to be expected but I can assure you it is worth the wait. I have often stood in the rain waiting for a table, that’s how much I love the food. The bacon here is the nicest I’ve ever tasted, and their desserts are so good it’s difficult to decide which one to choose.
They serve breakfast later than most places (12noon weekdays, 1pm Saturday and 2pm on Sunday) which is always convienent.

A quaint breakfast and lunch place, I could not stay away from Queen of Tarts while vacationing in Dublin. Nothing on the menu was a disappointment and when I asked about the varieties of fruit in the fruit salad, the waitress looked in the fruit basket to see. Now that’s fresh! Nothing canned or processed here.
