Clean cars and friendly drivers who go the fastest, cheapest route rather than take you on a scenic tour

    TK Maxx - Dublin

One of the staff told me that Tuesday mornings are the best time to go in as they get their latest stock out that day. If you are patient and search you will find some great bargains

    Turners Cross Tavern - Cork

The tavern on a wednesday is absolutely brilliant with what I consider the best live trad session in Cork. I've been there on other nights when the atmosphere hasn't been so good but if you are looking for a good spot with live music mid week then you will struggle to find better

    Yangtze River - Cork

I've tried quite a few Chinese takeaways over the years but still haven't come across one that beats the Yangtzee River. Their chicken curry is one of the best out there with whole chunks of fresh chicken breast and not the stringy stuff you get elsewhere. The portions are generous with a chicken curry, fried rice and chips enough to feed 3 for around 8 euros. Another massive plus for me is that they deliver quite quickly and I usually get mine delivered withing 30 to 40 minutes which is good considering I live 15 minutes outside the city.

One tip I would suggest is asking for fresh chips when ordering. I only say this because I had a couple of reheats in the past and the chips were not great but if you ask them for freshly prepared chips they have no problem doing it for you.

    Evergreen Road, Cork

    Mountain Bar - Cork

Probably the best live music venue in Cork in my opinion. I went there on a Monday evening after a meal and found the bar to be very friendly, comfortable and there was an excellent ballad singer playing. The prices are cheaper than inner city and the staff are genuinely friendly .

    BLANCHARDSTOWN CENTRE, 15 Dublin

    Crowne Plaza Hotel - Dublin

ChildrensParties wrote on 21 December 2009

I stayed there this weekend and was very impressed. The room was spacious but comfortable, the food was excellent and the staff were quite friendly.

The only drawback was the location with the €25 cab ride from the airport or city ruling out straying too far from the hotel.

    Cotter Insurances Ltd - Dublin

Having had a couple of bad experiences with my previous insurance company recently, a friend of mine suggested that I contact Cotter Insurances and I have to say that I was thrilled that I did.

It was good to actually speak to someone who worked out the best deal for me and how I could save money rather that just letting a website decide for me. They were very friendly, helpful and I will definitely be recommending them to all of my friends.
